How To Know When Longans Are Ripe:
As the fruit ripens, the outer layer of skin forms into a hardened shell, so that when they are harvested, the fruit can easily be freed from the shell. Longons are ripe when their shell turns from green to brown. We recommend placing longans immediately in the refrigerator as they will most often arrive to you ripe and ready to eat.
